The band SWASTIKA was formed in the first quarter of the year 1998 when guitarist Saurabh Chaudhary and vocalist Ashutosh Danriyal,mutual friends got together with drummer Shailan Robinson and bassist Yogesh Bakshi, with the help of common friends.One thing led to another and they decided to jam together .The jamming they had on the 8th of june 1998 was very impressive and as they all had broken up with their privious bands they decided to form a band on a trial basis,and they decided to name this collective union of theirs as SWASTIKA.

They soon started jamming regularly at Yogesh's house and soon decided to take it seriously rather than as on a trial basis as they had decided earlier.As they all had been avid heavy metallers for long they decided to play and produce only brutal heavy metal, the music they described as penetrating the soul rather than soothing the body.They started out in the unusual fashion concentrating on originals.Till now they have many originals under their collective belt,ranging from melodiosly rocking love ballads to heavier than hell tales of death and destruction.The songs all written by the various members of the band themselves are all real life stories,so they claim,but wether they'll be able to thrash 'em all and reach and create new standards for themselves and others remains to be seen.Til' then They'll never fade,They'll never die cause They're SWASTIKA
